{"id":384,"date":"2023-07-17T05:30:15","date_gmt":"2023-07-17T09:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.opticaldynamics.com\/?p=384"},"modified":"2023-06-21T10:20:10","modified_gmt":"2023-06-21T14:20:10","slug":"what-does-the-message-service-required-press-help-mean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.opticaldynamics.com\/?p=384","title":{"rendered":"What does the message, SERVICE REQUIRED PRESS HELP, mean?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Topic:<\/strong> You are getting ready to process a job or you have tried to process a job and the lenses didn\u2019t cure properly when you notice that a message line has appeared on the upper left side of your Post Cure menu screen that reads SERVICE REQUIRED PRESS HELP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Reason Why: <\/strong>Your Post Cure Unit controls all of the functions for the Main Chamber.\u00a0 It runs checks on the lamps, lamp intensity, filament power as well as the temperature of the heating oven from the time the unit it is turned on until you turn the unit off.\u00a0 The System also monitors the current coming into your system and keeps track of the age of your lamps and air filter.\u00a0 If there is something that the system checks that is out of calibration the SERVICE REQUIRED PRESS HELP line will appear in the upper left portion of the main menu screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Fix:<\/strong> When you press the HELP button located next to the main menu screen you will get a screen that looks like this:<\/p>\n<p>01\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Post Cure Temperature<\/p>\n<p>02\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Light Intensity<\/p>\n<p>03\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lamp Power<\/p>\n<p>04\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Filament Heat Power<\/p>\n<p>05\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lamp On Time<\/p>\n<p>06\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Post Cure Heaters<\/p>\n<p>07\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lamp Temperature<\/p>\n<p>08\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Line Voltage<\/p>\n<p>09\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 OK\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Communications<\/p>\n<p>Any error detected will be highlighted and will have SERVICE in place of OK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example:\u00a0 03\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 SERVICE\u00a0\u00a0 Lamp Power<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If SERVICE appears, select the item that indicates service required and press the encoder to get specific instructions regarding the error and how to proceed in troubleshooting.<\/p>\n<p>The instructions may guide you as to how to repair this issue or it may guide you to call the Technical Support Team at Optical Dynamics <strong>(1800-587-2743 Ext. 276 or 283)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Topic: You are getting ready to process a job or you have tried to process a job and the lenses didn\u2019t cure properly when you notice that a message line has appeared on the upper left side of your Post &hellip;
